Forza Horizon 6 brings back one of the franchise's most addictive and passive ways to build up your in-game progression: the Horizon Promo feature. If you aren't familiar with how it works, the concept is beautifully straightforward. You get paid, rewarded, and recognized simply for taking photos of the cars you encounter during your festival journey. From massive drops of credits and wheelspins to exclusive emotes and rare, hard-to-find cars, the Horizon Promo reward track is something you want to tap into as early as possible.
Getting started and actually completing the massive checklist requires a little bit of strategy. If you want to efficiently fill out your collection and unlock every single milestone reward without spending hundreds of hours blindly chasing down traffic, here is the ultimate playbook to mastering the Horizon Promo.
Activating the Promo Feature
Before you can start logging cars for rewards, you need to put in a tiny bit of legwork. The Horizon Promo feature isn’t active the very first second you drop into the game. Instead, you just need to progress through the opening stages of the campaign. Focus on completing the introductory showcase events and expanding your footprint until you unlock your Horizon Festival Wristbands. The exact moment your wristbands are activated, the game officially opens up the Promo tracking system, and every unique vehicle you snap from that point forward counts toward your progression tiers.
1. Locate the Horizon Promo Menu
If you are a veteran of the series, you might find yourself scratching your head trying to find your tracking checklist. Unlike previous titles where the promo menu had its own dedicated, easy-to-spot tab, Forza Horizon 6 buries it slightly deeper within its updated user interface. To find your progress, use the following steps:
  • Open the Pause Menu while in free roam.
  • Navigate over to the Horizon Festival Wristbands section.
  • Scroll down through the sub-menus to find the Horizon Promo tile.
  • Click into it to view your total progress checklist, check out upcoming milestone rewards, and see exactly which cars you are missing.

2. Mastering the "Quick Shot" Strategy
Waiting for the camera to render, save, and upload a photo every single time would completely destroy the pacing of your gameplay. Thankfully, the developers kept this in mind and included a built-in shortcut that makes grinding out the list incredibly smooth.
Whenever you see a car with a tiny camera icon hovering over its name plate—indicating a vehicle you haven't photographed yet—simply press Up on the D-pad while driving or during a race to instantly enter Photo Mode. Instead of hitting the standard capture button, press the Right Bumper (RB). This executes a "Horizon Promo Quick Shot". The game instantly logs every new vehicle in the frame into your tracking list, letting you exit right back to the action without waiting out the tedious saving and uploading processes.
3. The Grid Grind Strategy
Trying to hunt down vehicles one by one in freeroam traffic is a recipe for a massive headache. If you want to organically knock out hundreds of cars in a fraction of the time, you need to utilize the Grid Grind method.
Start up any standard Solo race or Drag race, switching up the car classes every few events to ensure the AI spawns in a diverse lineup. The second the starting countdown ends and the race begins, immediately smash that D-pad to enter Photo Mode. Because all the cars are still tightly packed together at the starting line, you can pan your camera across the entire starting grid. A single, well-angled quick shot here can easily capture up to 11 new vehicles simultaneously, instantly crossing them off your bucket list in less than five seconds.
Player Tip: Drag races are arguably the best choice for the Grid Grind strategy because the straight-line layout keeps all competing vehicles cleanly in the camera's field of view right at the launch.
4. Capturing Ultra-Rare and Promo-Exclusive Cars
As you get deeper into the checklist, you will eventually hit a wall. Several promotional vehicles—such as the elusive Toyota Sports 800 Fanta Edition or the quirky Trolli Peel P50—are locked behind external retail promotional codes. Because these cars cannot be bought from the standard Autoshow or easily found roaming around the open world, tracking them down normally is nearly impossible.
Fortunately, you can completely bypass this limitation by leaning on the Forza community through the EventLab feature:
  • Navigate to the Pause Menu, select Online, and open up EventLab.
  • Go into the search settings and locate the prompt to enter community-made event Share Codes.
  • Input a specific blueprint code designed for promo hunting. For example, use code 146049 to spawn the Fanta Toyota, or code 609443111 to pull up the rare Peel P50.
  • Launch the custom EventLab match. As soon as the grid spawns, pop open your camera, snap your quick shot, and effortlessly check those ultra-rare promo exclusives off your master list.

By pairing the EventLab community blueprints with the starting grid camera trick, you will comfortably breeze through the reward tiers, filling your garage and bank account with all the exclusive gear the game has to offer. Happy hunting!
